Microsoft Predictions

Microsoft will buy out Xamarin and package it with Visual Studio MSDN.

The appearance of a new form of CLR Stored Procedure in upcoming versions of SQL Server will allow Entity Framework Expression Trees to be executed against SQL Server directly, bypassing the SQL layer.  Precedence for this exists in PostgreSQL’s capability to write stored functions in non-SQL languages, for example.

The new Rosyln C# Compiler could offer some expressions in the codebase to be compiled and delivered to SQL Server at application startup.
