My friend recently posted on Facebook about Deepak Chopra and Brian Cox having a bit of a “falling out” on Twitter (http://www.newstatesman.com/future-proof/2014/07/deepak-chopra-doesnt-understand-quantum-physics-so-brian-cox-wants-1000000-him).

I asked my friend (a professor of Philosophy) why he thought that Jeff Hawkin’s definition of conciousness “what it feels like to have a neocortex” (On Intelligence – 2004) might be incorrect.

I was directed me to this David Chalmers paper which outlines some of the philosophical points in the other direction, which I quite enjoyed reading: http://consc.net/papers/facing.pdf

What do you think?
